Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Design Verification team to develop and validate high-speed SerDes and PHY IP used in PCIe, Ethernet, and other interfaces. Work spans digital and analog verification, DSP pipelines, and firmware-hardware co-verification on silicon shipping to production.
This role is intended for an early-career engineer who will work with experienced peers, take ownership of verification tasks, and build expertise in high-speed silicon verification.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early-career - 0–5 years of relevant digital design or verification experience (including internships and academic projects).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities on block-level and top-level verification.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments for SerDes and PHY blocks.
- Write testbenches, functional coverage models, and assertions.
- Run simulations, analyze failures, and debug RTL and testbench issues.
- Collaborate with design, architecture, and analog teams to define and execute verification plans.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and local preference.
- 0–5 years of experience in digital design or verification (including internships or academic projects).
- Working knowledge of SystemVerilog and basic familiarity with UVM concepts.
- Solid digital design fundamentals: synchronous logic, FSMs, pipelining, clock domain crossing.
- Strong analytical and debugging mindset; able to diagnose complex failures.
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
- Preference for candidates able to reside in Iași, Romania.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
