Job Title

Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification strategy and deliver signoff-quality verification across multiple IP blocks and subsystems. Collaborate with ML and software teams to integrate AI-assisted workflows and verification tooling.

This role provides high ownership of verification engineering, tooling, and customer-facing work in a fast-moving startup environment.

Experience Level

Mid-level (4–6 years of hands-on verification experience). The posting refers to a senior verification scope and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include driving verification from testbench architecture through signoff and integrating automation and AI into verification flows.

  • Own verification strategy across multiple IP blocks and subsystems, from testbench architecture to signoff.
  • Design and develop AI-assisted workflows to accelerate verification, coverage closure, and debug.
  • Build reusable verification frameworks using SystemVerilog, UVM, Python, and custom automation tooling.
  • Collaborate with ML and software teams to integrate models into DV environments.
  • Drive tapeout readiness; own quality metrics, regression health, and coverage targets.
  • Work with customers in forward-deployed capacity when needed and translate design challenges into product features.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices for next-generation verification teams.

Requirements

Technical must-haves and desirable skills for successful candidates.

Must-have:

  • 4–6 years of hands-on verification experience.
  • Strong SystemVerilog and UVM skills with deep debug capability.
  • Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Ability to work across domains and communicate with software, ML teams, customers, and leadership.
  • Track record of driving quality and ownership in verification projects.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with formal verification, co-simulation, or stimulus-generation frameworks.
  • Background in ML, LLMs, data pipelines, or tool development.
  • Previous customer-facing or forward-deployed engineering experience.
  • Experience building verification tools and frameworks used by other teams.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
