Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on functional verification of processor and IP blocks for ASIC/SoC products, driving verification activities and collaborating with RTL, firmware, circuit, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality silicon.
Position is based in Santa Clara, CA with hybrid work expectations. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain directed and random tests for functional verification.
- Build verification environments and tests using SystemVerilog/verification libraries (e.g., UVM).
- Debug test failures, isolate root cause, and work with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve design defects.
- Perform functional and code-coverage verification and analyze results to drive closure.
- Provide technical support to cross-functional teams and collaborate with architects, hardware, and firmware engineers to define verification scope.
- Use simulation and debug tools to trace and diagnose RTL issues.
Requirements

Must-have
- Practical experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog and modern verification methodologies (e.g., UVM).
- Strong ASIC/SoC design verification experience, including building and running testbenches.
- Proficient at debugging RTL using simulation and verification tools.
- Experience with functional and code-coverage driven verification.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across teams and time zones.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with C/C++ for test/host development.
- Background in DDR or memory controller verification; PHY verification is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
