Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Member of a hardware/GPU verification team in Austin responsible for RTL functional verification, test development, debug, and automation. The role ensures GPU RTL meets functional and coverage targets and collaborates with designers and lab engineers to diagnose and resolve failures.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning and executing verification activities, investigating failures, and improving verification infrastructure.
- Create verification plans from architectural specifications and maintain verification workflows.
- Develop and run tests to verify GPU RTL for functional correctness and coverage.
- Debug failed tests by analyzing waveforms, logs, and test data to identify root causes.
- Work with designers to revise tests and expose corner-case bugs.
- Design, implement, and improve test infrastructure and automation scripts for verification flows.
- Collect and analyze test metrics to ensure code and design coverage goals are met.
- Perform lab testing and in-lab debug of fabricated chips as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on chip bring-up, packaging, and test PCB validation.
Requirements
Core technical skills and hands-on experience required for the role.
- Experience designing at register-transfer and logic levels using modern modeling, simulation, synthesis, and verification tools.
- Proficiency with a hardware description language such as SystemVerilog.
- Experience creating test vectors, testbenches, and verification infrastructure for chip/RTL verification.
- Ability to analyze performance, portability, and robustness trade-offs in hardware designs.
- Familiarity with machine-level code generation, optimizing compilers, performance evaluation and optimization.
- Understanding of computer arithmetic, memory organization and management, and concurrent computation support.
- Experience with lab instrument automation, PCB test design, and in-lab chip test and debug.
- Experience designing and integrating hardware subsystems and co-designing hardware/software interfaces.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
