Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Design Verification Engineer will develop and execute verification plans, testbenches, and infrastructure to validate Mythic's custom AI processor designs. The role works across RTL, architecture, analog IP, compiler, emulation and post-silicon teams to ensure correctness and first-pass silicon quality.

Work includes system- and block-level verification using simulation, emulation, and modeling to prove neural-network functionality and performance.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 3+ years industry experience in design verification. Candidates at junior to senior levels will be considered depending on background.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and building the verification infrastructure required for complex AI designs.

• Hands-on system-level and block-level verification.
• Develop test plans and coverage plans.
• Design, implement, and run UVM or equivalent advanced verification testbenches.
• Create verification infrastructure and automated flows.
• Use architecture models and emulation environments to verify large AI network functionality.
• Adapt responsibilities based on experience and project needs.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful candidates.

• 3+ years of industry experience developing verification testbenches.
• Proficiency with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Experience with UVM or other structured verification methodologies.
• Familiarity with computer architecture relevant to accelerator and neural-network datapaths.
• Proven track record of first-pass silicon success.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
