Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and execute verification strategies and testbenches for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits in the Analog Power Products group. Work cross-functionally with analog design, digital design, and systems engineering to ensure first-pass silicon success.
Experience Level
Mid-level - 3+ years of design verification or related experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, implementing, and running verification activities from RTL through gate-level simulation and coverage closure.
- Develop detailed verification plans in collaboration with design and system teams.
- Design and implement RTL and gate-level testbenches, tests, and simulations.
- Develop SystemVerilog and Verilog-AMS behavioral models for analog circuits.
- Run coverage regressions and track closure against defined coverage goals.
- Automate regression submissions and verification flows with scripting.
- Report verification status, raise issues, and contribute to continuous DV methodology improvements.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience; preferred items follow.
- 3+ years of experience in design verification or a related role.
- Experience developing verification plans and building testbenches at RTL and gate level.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog; UVM-based testbench development is preferred.
- Familiarity with RTL simulation tools (e.g., Cadence Xcelium, Synopsys VCS).
- Experience with gate-level simulation and timing-aware verification flows.
- Scripting skills for regression automation and verification flow development (Python, Tcl, or Perl).
- Experience with assertions and coverage-driven verification methodologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and time-management skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (explicitly listed in the posting).
