Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join InnoPhase IoT's verification team to develop and execute SoC- and system-level verification plans, build test benches, and validate IP interoperability. The role works with architects, designers, and cross-functional teams to bring up HW/SW co-verification environments and support emulation and FPGA prototyping.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires approximately 5+ years of verification experience.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

• Develop SoC-level test benches using block/IP verification components and VIP/UVCs for random and directed testing.
• Create and execute SoC verification plans focused on IP interoperability and system-level scenarios.
• Construct HW/SW co‑verification environments: test-benches, use cases, APIs, sequences; execute and debug use cases.
• Use advanced verification methodologies: constrained-random stimulus, functional coverage, code coverage, and assertions.
• Debug failing tests, analyze results, and report verification status to meet coverage and release goals.
• Support emulation, FPGA prototyping, and hardware bring-up activities.
• Implement and maintain automated verification flows using scripting (Python, Shell).

Requirements

Key qualifications (must-have first, then desirable):

• Must-have: 5+ years of verification experience; proven SoC/System-level verification skills including testbench architecture, constrained-random verification, functional and code coverage, and assertions.
• Must-have: Experience with VIP/UVCs, IP interoperability verification, and writing cover points for corner cases.
• Must-have: Hands-on HW/SW co-verification experience and ability to debug use-cases across software and hardware.
• Must-have: Familiarity with emulation, FPGA prototyping, or acceleration flows and supporting bring-up activities.
• Must-have: Scripting skills for automation (Python, Shell) and maintaining verification flows.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to modeling (TLM), HW emulation/acceleration tools, and experience integrating custom and off-the-shelf VIPs.
