Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead and execute functional verification for complex AI ASIC designs. Work with architects, RTL designers, post-silicon validation, and software teams to ensure designs meet silicon quality and delivery goals.
Role is based in Sunnyvale, CA; remote candidates may be considered.
Experience Level
Mid-level — requires at least 3 years of design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Ownership of verification strategy, implementation, and delivery for micro-architectural blocks and chip-level features.
- Define and implement verification strategies, tests, and coverage plans from micro-architecture.
- Develop reusable verification environments and components (stimulus, checkers, assertions, coverage).
- Create and run regressions, collect coverage, and investigate and debug failures.
- Collaborate with architecture, RTL, physical design, firmware, and validation teams.
- Analyze and debug issues across simulation, emulation, and silicon bring-up.
- Improve verification infrastructure, automation, and methodology across the organization.
Requirements

- Must-have: 3+ years of hands-on design verification experience.
- Must-have: Deep knowledge of SystemVerilog testbench development, UVM, and DPI.
- Must-have: Experience with simulators, waveform viewers, build/run automation, coverage collection, and gate-level simulation.
- Must-have: Strong software engineering and programming skills; proficient in scripting (Python or Perl).
- Must-have: Advanced debugging and problem-solving skills across RTL, simulation, emulation, and silicon.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of pipelined processor architecture.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
