Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Design Verification Engineer will develop and execute verification strategies for analog and mixed-signal ICs in the Analog Power Products organization. The role covers the full verification cycle: verification plans, testbench development, running regressions and coverage closure, and improving DV methodology.

Work is cross-functional with digital design and systems engineering teams to ensure first-pass silicon success across industrial, automotive, and consumer applications.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and contributing to verification process improvements.

• Develop detailed verification plans in coordination with design and system teams.
• Design and implement testbenches, tests, and simulations at RTL and gate level.
• Run coverage regressions and track closure against coverage goals.
• Track, document, and communicate verification status, issues, and risks.
• Use regression tools and develop scripts to submit and manage regression jobs.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in DV strategy, tools, methods, and flows.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and key skills for the role.

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in design verification or a related engineering role.
• Experience developing verification plans and running RTL and gate-level simulations.
• Scripting skills for regression automation and flow development (Python, Tcl, or Perl).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to take initiative and drive results.

Nice-to-have:

• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM-based testbench development.
• Familiarity with RTL simulation tools (Cadence Xcelium, Synopsys VCS, or equivalent).
• Experience with gate-level simulation and timing-aware verification flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (specified as the minimum degree level in the posting).
