Job Title

Design Verification Architect

Role Summary

Architect verification strategies and testbench infrastructures for pre-silicon IP and SoC designs. Lead verification methodology (UVM and formal), integrate block-level testbenches into chip-level environments, and collaborate with architecture, analog, and design teams to achieve functional and security validation goals.

Experience Level

Senior β€” position expects experienced engineers (8+ to 10+ years of relevant industry experience as described in Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary duties include designing verification approaches, building testbenches, and ensuring integration and coverage closure.

  • Define and document verification strategy and methodologies for pre-silicon designs.
  • Architect and implement testbenches using UVM and formal verification techniques.
  • Integrate block testbenches into chip-level UVM environments and verify integration.
  • Develop test strategies, testbench architectures, and test plans aligned to block specifications.
  • Collaborate with analog, digital, and architecture teams; support post-silicon validation and failure analysis.
  • Create random test generation plans, run functional simulations, perform coverage analysis, and drive closure.
  • Define and build security validation strategy and infrastructure to improve security coverage.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for initial consideration; preferred items are listed separately.

  • Must-have: Significant experience in IP/SoC pre-silicon validation and coding using SystemVerilog.
  • Must-have: Experience with hardware simulation and debug tools (for example VCS/Verdi).
  • Must-have: Experience with IP environment and configuration management tools and UVM methodology.
  • Nice-to-have: Debugging complex logic designs and system-level validation experience.
  • Nice-to-have: DDR domain knowledge (DFI/DDR/LPDDR) and formal property verification experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with modern development tools (VSCode, Git, AI-assisted tooling such as GitHub Copilot).
  • Nice-to-have: Mentoring skills and ability to work across diverse teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant industry experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
