Role Summary
Join the Design Infrastructure and Automation Team to build and maintain core automation infrastructure for FPGA design flows (RTL to bitstream). Deliver automated, reliable, and efficient flow systems that accelerate development for next-generation FPGA products.

Responsibilities
The role focuses on developing automation tools and scaling internal design productivity across teams and toolchains.
- Develop and maintain in-house tools and infrastructure for end-to-end design flow automation.
- Apply and develop AI solutions to improve chip design productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, physical design engineers, verification teams, and tool vendors to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate EDA vendor technologies and frameworks to improve the design process.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and reusable components across automation infrastructure.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
Must-have:
- 4+ years experience with EDA tools and FPGA/ASIC design flows (lint, CDC, etc.).
- 4+ years working in Unix/Linux environments and scripting/programming (Python, Perl, Shell).
- 4+ years building and testing flow automation tools and integrating them into complex design pipelines.
- Experience with debugging, testing, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to collaborate across functions and translate user requirements into scalable solutions.
- Eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.
Nice-to-have:
- 6+ years of design automation experience.
- Experience with AI tools, CI/CD systems, automated testing frameworks, or cloud/hybrid job orchestration.
- Strong communication and continuous-improvement mindset.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. The posting also specifies 4+ years of relevant industry experience in combination with the degree requirement.
