Design for Test Intern (BS) — Summer 2027
Role Summary
Join Marvell's Design-for-Test (DFT) team as an entry-level intern supporting DFT design and implementation for system-on-chip (SoC) projects. The role involves running CAD flows, implementing DFT features, and coordinating with global teams to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Work supports active customer engagements and contributes to successful SoC delivery. Expected base pay: $30–$59 per hour (USD).
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for current undergraduate students; suitable for students with little or no professional experience.
Responsibilities
Typical intern responsibilities include:
- Understand design requirements and customer specifications.
- Execute and learn CAD tools and design flows for assigned SoC designs.
- Develop scripts and automation in Linux using TCL, Python, or Perl.
- Analyze, debug, and implement DFT features and flow fixes.
- Collaborate with global CAD and engineering teams on flow improvements.
- Support design verification using ICL/PDL constructs and SystemVerilog/UVM.
Requirements
Essential and preferred qualifications:
- Must-have: Fluent written and verbal English.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Linux/Unix internals and multithreaded systems.
- Strong scripting skills in TCL or Python (Perl or equivalent acceptable).
- Knowledge of SoC design flow and DFT concepts (ATPG, BIST, IEEE1149.6, IEEE1687) is a plus.
- Ability to learn CAD tools and work in a Unix-type environment.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science, or a related technical field; expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028. (Equivalent practical experience not referenced.)
