Design Verification Intern, MS - Summer 2027

Role Summary

Join Marvell's Design Verification teams to build and run pre-silicon simulations and testbenches for ASIC/SoC designs across processor, storage, and networking domains. Work with architects, digital designers, and software engineers to validate functionality, improve test coverage, and diagnose complex hardware/software issues.

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level. Intended for current Master's students; expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Create and run simulation environments and testbenches that model real-world conditions.
  • Develop automated tests to stress designs and expose functional failures.
  • Analyze coverage and verification metrics and report findings.
  • Collaborate with chip architects, designers, and software teams to debug and resolve issues.
  • Support RTL integration and bring-up activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting such as Python, C, C++, Perl, or Java.
  • Experience with Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor tools to run simulations and debug testbenches.
  • Hands-on RTL integration and bring-up experience.
  • Experience debugging complex hardware/software interactions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Verilog, VHDL, UVM, and ASIC/SoC verification methodology.
  • Experience with coverage analysis and verification metrics.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Master's (MS) program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
