Design Engineer (Senior Technical Lead)
Role Summary
Full-time senior technical lead on a small, high-impact ASIC/FPGA design team in Pune, India. Responsible for end-to-end ownership of processor-subsystem microarchitecture through tapeout, including RTL implementation, integration, and delivery.
The role collaborates with architecture, design verification, physical design, firmware, and cross-site teams to meet timing, power, area, and test goals.
Experience Level
Senior β 12+ years of IC design experience; 3+ years leading a subsystem or complex block.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Own RTL design and microarchitecture of the processor subsystem, including embedded MCU cores, bus fabric, and DMA infrastructure.
- Work with the architecture team to define and finalize design specifications.
- Drive RTL implementation and closure of CDC/RDC/SDC, and manage DFT insertion for the subsystem.
- Partner with DV and physical design leads to meet chip-level timing, power, and area targets.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers for integration and bring-up.
- Mentor junior designers; teach best-known-methods and learn domain-specific FPGA fabric details.
