Design Engineer – NAND Analog
Micron TechnologyJob Title
Design Engineer – NAND Analog
Role Summary
Member of the Non-Volatile NAND Design Engineering (NVE Analog) team responsible for designing and validating analog and mixed-signal circuits used in NAND flash products. Deliver transistor-level implementations and verification that meet requirements for performance, power, area, noise, reliability, and manufacturability across technology nodes.
Estimated base salary range for this role: 34,000 - 57,000 per year (B2 CCNL level). Benefits and variable compensation apply.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Requires demonstrated experience in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuit design (exact years not specified).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities across the full design lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and validate analog and mixed-signal circuits (charge pumps, regulators, amplifiers, ADC/DAC, bandgap, power management blocks).
- Translate system requirements into circuit architectures, specifications, and transistor-level implementations optimized for performance, power, area, noise, and reliability.
- Perform comprehensive circuit simulation and verification (DC, AC, transient, noise, Monte Carlo, PVT corners) including parasitic-aware validation.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to optimize product performance, power consumption, die size, and manufacturability; participate in design reviews and silicon validation.
- Develop documentation, contribute to silicon bring-up and root-cause analysis, and support verification and test activities.
- Support layout automation and coordinate with physical design flows to satisfy layout constraints.
- Apply AI-assisted tools and data-driven techniques to improve engineering productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and analyze large design or silicon datasets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies; preferred items listed separately.
- Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
- Solid understanding of device physics, variability, noise, reliability, and power integrity.
- Hands-on experience with SPICE-based simulation tools and verification methodologies.
- Experience with parasitic-aware validation and silicon debug.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work in global multi-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in NAND Flash or other non-volatile memory technologies.
- Familiarity with design automation, scripting (e.g., Python), or AI-assisted design approaches.
- Understanding of layout constraints and interaction with physical design flows.
Education Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting). No alternative bachelor's-only or explicit "equivalent experience" statement was provided.
