Design Enablement Engineer - High Voltage MOSFET Compact Modeling

Role Summary

Work as a device modeling engineer on RFSOI / RF Bulk technologies to extract and validate compact models for high-voltage MOSFETs. The role involves measurement analysis, model extraction, test-structure definition, and collaboration with device and modeling teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical experience guidance from the posting: M.S. candidates with ~6+ years or Ph.D. candidates with ~3–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include extracting compact device models, defining tests, and debugging data/model discrepancies.

• Extract device models for DC and RF (BSIM / PSP and SOI variants as required).
• Define test structures and layouts to support model extraction and validation.
• Analyze device data (MOSFETs, diodes, varactors) using semiconductor physics.
• Use S-parameters and RF measurement data when applicable to derive model parameters.
• Collaborate with device and modeling engineers to resolve measurement and modeling issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Proven experience in compact device model extraction and validation.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and data analysis.
• Experience defining test structures and interpreting layout constraints.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to debug device and measurement issues.

Nice-to-have:

• Exposure to RF concepts and S-parameter measurements.

Education Requirements
