Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification, debugging, and teamwork to validate ASIC/SoC designs.

  • Develop and run simulations and emulation tests to validate digital designs and verify functionality against specifications.
  • Debug functional failures using EDA tools and root-cause analysis techniques.
  • Write and maintain testbenches, verification environments, and scripts to automate verification tasks.
  • Collaborate with design, firmware, and system teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Document findings and communicate results clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and constraints for applicants. Preferred skills listed separately.

  • Must be an active student (internship status) and eligible to work in Canada; this role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
  • Foundational knowledge of digital logic design and verification methodologies.
  • Experience or coursework with HDLs and verification languages (SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL).
  • Familiarity with programming in C or C++ and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
  • Experience or exposure to EDA simulation or emulation tools.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to UVM and industry-standard protocols (AXI, AHB, APB, UART, I2C, SPI).
  • Experience in low-power verification, formal verification, SQL, business-intelligence tools (Power BI/Copilot), and Linux shell environments.
