Design Automation Engineer
Role Summary
The System Design Automation team develops automation, intelligent debugging, and UX-driven tools for NVIDIA's next-generation hardware platforms. This role builds and maintains user-facing automation platforms and embeds AI/ML capabilities into production tooling.
The position requires cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, scalable tools that accelerate issue resolution and improve product quality.
Experience Level
Entry-level β suitable for candidates with approximately 2+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing automation tools, integrating AI/ML components, and supporting users of those tools.
- Develop and maintain automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in design and verification flows.
- Integrate AI/ML solutions into production tooling and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Provide support, documentation, and training for team members on guidelines and tool usage.
- Contribute to system architecture and UX/UI improvements for debugging and automation platforms.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in tools and pipelines used by engineering teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and professional behaviors.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development or automation engineering.
- Proficiency in programming (experience with scripting and higher-level languages).
- Experience with AI tools and integrating ML models into applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; proactive and self-driven.
Nice-to-have:
- Board design experience.
- Prior experience with CAD tools.
- Knowledge of AI and machine-learning algorithms beyond tooling integration.
- Experience in high-performance computing environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent technical degree) was specified.
