DES Industrialisation Program Manager
Role Summary
Manage industrialization and production ramp of automotive safety products within the DES Drivers & Energy Systems product line. Lead execution of industrial strategy, balancing cost, supply and quality across internal teams and external suppliers.
Experience Level
Mid-level β Minimum 4β5 years of experience in the semiconductors industry, with prior work in the automotive sector.
Responsibilities
Accountable for driving programs from product release to high-volume production and ensuring stable supply and quality.
- Define and execute industrialization strategy for assigned product portfolio.
- Manage industrial programs including cost engineering, volume ramp-up and safe launch.
- Lead sustaining projects, product transfers and change management activities.
- Coordinate supplier management and support supply chain management to secure supply continuity.
- Drive quality improvements and apply statistical and quality methodologies.
- Report program status and KPIs to product line management and stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate a distributed team of test and product engineers (primarily in Asia).
- Engage with customers and internal partners as required for program success.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 4β5 years in the semiconductor industry, specifically automotive (fabs, development, sustaining, or quality).
- Proven track record managing programs or global initiatives and volume ramp-ups.
- Strong understanding of test and product engineering activities during ramp-up.
- Knowledge of front-end and back-end semiconductor processes and lean manufacturing.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and quality improvement tools and methodologies.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
- Ability to lead distributed teams and influence without direct authority.
- Knowledgeable in automotive standards and customer requirements (e.g., IATF 16949, AEC Q100).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working in multicultural, high-demand customer environments.
- Demonstrated people leadership and change-management experience.
Education Requirements
Master's or PhD in electronics or micro-electronics.
