DDR Design Verification Sr Lead Engineer
Role Summary
Work in the Infra IP verification team to verify the DDR subsystem. The role focuses on building DV infrastructure, integrating VIPs, creating and executing test plans, debugging failures, and ensuring functional and code coverage closure.
Collaborate with design, software, and system stakeholders to deliver high-quality verification results for DDR-related IP.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of relevant hardware or design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building and executing verification infrastructure and driving closure of functionality and coverage gaps.
- Create and maintain DV infrastructure and testbenches.
- Integrate and validate VIPs (verification IP).
- Develop and execute verification and test plans; write assertions.
- Debug failures, triage builds, and add instrumentation to improve debugability.
- Analyze and close code and functional coverage; add directed or random tests as needed.
- Implement monitors, scoreboards, sequencers and related verification components.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure program success.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience. Preferred items noted separately.
- Strong experience with UVM and SystemVerilog-based verification.
- Proven debug skills for complex verification failures and large testbenches.
- Experience implementing monitors, scoreboards, sequencers and test sequences; familiarity with scripting in verification flows.
- Thorough understanding of digital design concepts and verification methodologies/tools.
- Experience analyzing coverage metrics and driving coverage closure.
- Comfortable working with large verification environments and CI/build systems.
- 5+ years of industry hardware or verification engineering experience (expected for this senior role).
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with LPDDR4/LPDDR5 protocols and bus protocols such as AHB/AXI/ACE/ACE-Lite.
