Role Summary

Work with process integration and process engineering teams to analyze manufacturing data and deliver analytics, models, and automated tools that improve semiconductor yield and reduce process variation.

The role partners with cross-functional engineering teams to perform root cause analysis, build data pipelines, and turn large, disparate datasets into actionable insights.

Experience Level

Entry or early career — minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or scripting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include analyzing manufacturing data, developing automated data processes, and communicating results to engineering stakeholders.

• Analyze inline, param, and probe data to identify top yield detractors and support continuous improvement.
• Extract, cleanse, integrate, and automate data pipelines from SQL databases, tool logs, and sensor data.
• Develop statistical models and machine learning solutions to diagnose yield and defect issues.
• Support Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze results to improve process capability.
• Create automated reports and dashboards to present technical findings to engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed under nice-to-have.

• Must-have: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or scripting applications.
• Must-have: Strong Python programming and practical SQL experience for data extraction and manipulation.
• Must-have: Familiarity with statistical methods and manufacturing analytics (e.g., SPC, DOE, FDC/EDA) and data-driven problem solving.
• Must-have: Experience using data visualization tools (examples: Dash, Plotly, Angular) to present complex engineering data.
• Must-have: Ability to collaborate with equipment and integration engineers and willingness to learn semiconductor manufacturing principles.
• Nice-to-have: Prior semiconductor or electronics manufacturing experience, understanding of fabrication processes and device physics (basic CMOS), familiarity with advanced analytics for yield, and knowledge of memory architectures (DRAM/NAND).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, AI, or a related engineering field.
