Data Science Student, AI Solutions Group
Role Summary
Work as a part-time data science intern within Intel's AI Solutions Group to develop ML/DL/LLM solutions that support Intel's chip development workflows. The role spans problem definition, algorithm research, prototyping and preparing models for deployment.
You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team based in Israel and collaborate with engineers and researchers to deliver applied AI solutions.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Student intern (MSc or PhD student preferred). This is a part-time student role; candidates must be available at least three days per week.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include turning data-driven problems into deployable AI solutions.
- Analyze and preprocess diverse datasets relevant to silicon and engineering workflows.
- Design, implement and evaluate ML/DL/LLM models and algorithms.
- Prototype solutions and iterate based on validation and stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare models and code for deployment and production integration.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in internal seminars, knowledge-sharing and learning activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, working requirements, and personal qualities.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methods and experience applying them to data science problems.
- Substantial programming experience in Python.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools such as PyTorch and Scikit-learn; experience with LangGraph or similar tooling is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and methodically while collaborating effectively in teams; strong communication skills.
- Availability to work at least three days per week and remain enrolled in studies for the expected internship duration (approximately 1.5 years).
- Motivation to solve real-world problems and deliver practical impact.
Education Requirements
MSc or PhD student focusing on AI (thesis in AI) or students in related disciplines such as computer science, engineering, or statistics. (Requirements specify enrollment as a graduate student.)
