Data Science Application Developer

Role Summary

The role develops software and data infrastructure that automates device engineering workflows, enables Big Data analytics, and supports deployment of machine learning solutions across fabrication sites. The position sits within Design and Technology Enablement and works closely with device engineering teams in Sofia and other fabs.

Experience Level

Mid-level — approximately 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver software, data pipelines and tooling to improve Device Engineering efficiency and support analytics and ML projects.

• Develop and maintain automation tools and applications for core device engineering tasks.
• Design and operate data flows, ETL processes and database infrastructure for Big Data analytics.
• Support deployment and operationalization of ML projects in cloud environments (AWS).
• Integrate existing analysis tools with cloud databases and productize solutions for wider use and standardization.
• Build tracking dashboards and reporting for multiple job functions and collaborate with fab teams to drive adoption.
• Write efficient, maintainable code in Python, JavaScript or R and manage multiple concurrent projects; present progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must-have: Industry experience developing production software with Python, JavaScript or R.
• Experience with cloud data technologies and deploying applications to cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Experience with SQL and other database technologies; building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong data analysis, data mining and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and learn quickly in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Nice-to-have: Experience productizing tools for organization-wide use; prior exposure to semiconductor devices and fabrication processes.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; posting specifies 3 years of experience alongside the degree requirement.
