Customer Solutions Engineer
Role Summary
Customer-facing engineering role supporting Ceva's NPUs and DSPs across the full customer lifecycle, from pre-sales technical evaluation to post-sales integration. Part of the Customer Solutions Group, working with R&D, field teams, partners, and customers to resolve hardware and architecture issues.
Location options: Korea, Japan, or Taiwan.
Experience Level
Mid-level - Over 3 years of experience in VLSI design, VLSI verification, or hardware architecture.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on technical customer support for Ceva hardware IP and enabling customer integrations.
- Maintain deep technical expertise in Ceva NPUs, DSPs, and related hardware architecture.
- Support pre-sales technical evaluations, product demonstrations, and benchmarks.
- Assist post-sales integration, debugging, and performance optimization with customers and partners.
- Develop training materials, application notes, and internal/external knowledge resources.
- Collaborate with R&D, Field Application Engineers, partners, and customers to resolve complex issues.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly in written and verbal form to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for the role.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in VLSI design, VLSI verification, or hardware architecture.
- Fluent English with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Strong multi-tasking and customer-interaction skills; prior direct customer communication experience preferred.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with RTL-to-GDSII design flow and common EDA tools (Synopsys/Cadence) and scripting (e.g., Tcl).
- Experience running logic simulation and analyzing VCD/FSDB waveforms.
- Familiarity with embedded processor architectures, bus protocols (AXI, APB, NoC), NPUs or DSPs.
- Embedded software experience with ARM, MIPS, TI, Freescale, or similar platforms; experience with processor development boards and debuggers.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or closely related field) from a recognized university.
