Customer Quality Engineer (Sensing)
Role Summary
Provide quality support across customers, new product development, and manufacturing to ensure products meet business-unit and customer quality expectations while maintaining production flow.
Investigate and resolve product quality issues, drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and lead quality-improvement efforts with development, manufacturing, and central quality teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are technical investigation, root-cause determination, and driving timely corrective actions to protect product quality and minimize customer impact.
- Investigate and resolve complex product quality issues using data analysis, process knowledge, and hands-on device evaluation.
- Perform technical root-cause analysis on critical quality events and recommend/implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Lead cross-functional problem resolution with development teams, manufacturing sites, and central quality organizations.
- Respond to internal and external quality excursions to minimize customer impact and restore product entitlement.
- Identify and mitigate issues on critical new ramp products to ensure reliable production ramps.
- Improve processes and tools to reduce cycle time and customer returns.
- Represent the business unit for global quality events and related CAPA actions.

- Strong analytical mindset, ownership, and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of quality problem-solving methods (e.g., fishbone, 3x5Why, 8D).
- Broad technical knowledge of semiconductor technologies, circuit operation, test methods, and failure analysis.
- Hands-on, results-driven approach and experience supporting customer-facing quality events.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field is specified as the degree requirement.
