Customer Program Manager

Role Summary

Manage planning and execution of customer-facing SoC semiconductor product engineering programs. Act as the primary customer/vendor contact, maintain program schedules, track KPIs, and improve program management workflows to increase program efficiency and delivery quality.

Position sits in the Engineering Services Group, Program Management team and works across engineering, project management, and external partners to coordinate deliveries and resolve program risks.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career — requires at least 2 years of Program Management or related work experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate customer-facing program activities and internal execution to ensure timely, quality deliveries.

  • Serve as the single point of contact for customers and vendors for connectivity product programs.
  • Coordinate with external partners and engineering leads to align on solutions and delivery expectations.
  • Maintain program schedules, run status meetings, track action items, and manage delivery acceptance.
  • Monitor program risks and present resolution strategies to management.
  • Define and drive process frameworks for consistent execution and deliverable quality.
  • Ensure work breakdown structure (WBS) aligns with program intent and realign with project managers and engineering leads as needed.
  • Drive internal and external kickoffs, milestone deliveries, and signoffs.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience to perform successfully in this role.

  • 2+ years of Program Management or related experience coordinating engineering programs.
  • Experience developing and tracking schedules, status reporting, and KPI tracking with standard industry tools.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and external partners/vendors.
  • Familiarity with optical communication principles and optical module design, assembly, or qualification processes.
  • Ability to identify program risks and drive mitigation plans to closure.
  • Strong communication, meeting facilitation, and action-item tracking skills.
  • Nice-to-have: PMP certification; experience with optical transceivers and supply-chain interactions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is stated. Advanced degrees may substitute for work experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years of experience credit).
