Customer Applications Development Engineer, MACH — Dresden

Role Summary

Provide technical application support and drive product adoption for MACH Analytics software by collaborating with European semiconductor customers, internal engineering teams, and business units. The role focuses on lithography process optimization, software-based analysis, and on-site customer engagements during product introductions and factory startups.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical candidates have roughly 3–5 years of relevant semiconductor experience working in lithography or process/analytics support; experience expectations are flexible based on technical background and demonstrated skills.

Responsibilities

Work with customers and internal teams to optimize manufacturing processes, deploy software solutions, and support product introductions.

• Advise and support customers on lithography process optimization and structural improvements.
• Use MACH Analytics software to analyze process data and validate new software modules on-site.
• Develop and implement product applications, execute characterization, alpha/beta testing, and pilot tool support during factory startups.
• Design and execute test plans; collect and analyze data; publish results and recommendations.
• Create technical documentation: feature requirements, application notes, Best Known Methods (BKM), demo and test reports.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, liaising with systems and software engineering teams.
• Provide product demonstrations, technical training, and support sales/product adoption efforts.

• Experience in the semiconductor industry with a focus on lithography (must).
• Hands-on experience with exposure tools (preferred).
• Proven customer-facing skills and strong written and verbal English communication (must).
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (target ~25%).
• Experience with data analysis, test-plan execution, and technical documentation.
• Nice-to-have: Python programming skills.

Education Requirements
