Role Summary
Work on NVIDIA's Custom SoC (NVLink Fusion) team in Shanghai to support semi-custom ASIC/IP development for AI scale-up and scale-out systems. The role focuses on hands-on IP development, IP integration, subsystem bring-up, and process/methodology improvements for custom silicon.
Internship position with practical engineering tasks across design, verification, and integration workflows.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship; no specific years of professional experience required.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist the engineering team in IP and subsystem development and verification.
- Develop functional and I/O IP components.
- Integrate various IPs and manage releases for custom silicon projects.
- Build SOC or sub-system and support functional/performance signoff and QoR analysis.
- Contribute to methodology and process improvements to increase development efficiency.
Requirements
Required technical skills for successful performance in the internship; education details are listed separately below.
- Basic C/C++ programming skills (required).
- Scripting experience: Perl, Python, or Shell (required).
- Basic digital-circuit concepts and Verilog knowledge (required).
- Basic verification fundamentals (required).
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with VCS, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
- Nice-to-have: experience with ASIC design flow (for example synthesis) and AMBA protocols (AXI, ACE, CHI, ATB).
- Nice-to-have: strong English communication skills and ability to learn quickly.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master candidate).
