Job Title

Cross-Domain Electronic Systems Engineering Intern (Strategic Student Program)

Role Summary

Internship on the Cross Product Solution Management (CPSM) team to research and prototype cross-domain engineering workflows that integrate EDA, PLM, and AI across semiconductor, electronics, mechanical, and system design.

Experience Level

Entry-level intern (university students, sophomore or above). Intended for current undergraduate or graduate students preparing for Spring 2027 full-time internship work.

Responsibilities

Work with senior engineers to research and demonstrate end-to-end engineering workflows and produce prototype solutions and documentation.

  • Research and evaluate emerging engineering technologies and workflows.
  • Develop software prototypes, automation tools, and proof-of-concept solutions.
  • Explore digital, analog, semiconductor, PCB, and system-level design concepts.
  • Document technical findings via white papers, tutorials, and technical guides.
  • Investigate AI-assisted engineering and documentation workflows.
  • Learn and use industry EDA and PLM tools; help define an end-to-end digital thread from silicon design through system deployment.

  • Available to work full-time starting Spring 2027 for the duration of the internship.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to digital logic, FPGA, embedded systems, or electronics design.
  • Interest in EDA, PLM, automation, or AI technologies.
  • Experience with Python, C++, or other programming languages; familiarity with Linux or scripting.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in related fields.

Education Requirements

Must be currently enrolled (sophomore year or above) in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related STEM field. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
