Job Title

CPU Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification of ARM architecture-based CPU cores intended for AI and accelerated-computing platforms. The role focuses on development and use of Random Instruction Sequence (RIS) tools, unit-level verification, and creation of testbench components.

The engineer will collaborate with design and architecture teams to verify architectural and microarchitectural features and improve verification strategies using AI-accelerated workflows.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” minimum 2 years of CPU verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing verification infrastructure, creating and executing verification plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop and maintain RIS tools and stimulus for CPU verification.
  • Verify ARM architecture-based CPU cores at unit and microarchitectural levels.
  • Create and execute unit-level verification plans and new testbench components.
  • Collaborate with design and architecture teams to verify architectural and microarchitectural features.
  • Analyze and improve verification strategies; integrate AI-accelerated workflows to increase efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • At least 2 years of CPU verification experience.
  • Proven experience in ARM architecture and/or CPU microarchitecture verification.
  • Programming and verification languages: C/C++, Python, SystemVerilog.
  • Strong understanding of verification methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Detailed understanding of ARM v9 architecture and cache coherency concepts.
  • Experience with unit-level verification of high-performance CPU cores (e.g., branch predictor, frontend, load-store).
  • Experience generating stimulus using RIS tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
