CPU Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on verification of ARM architecture-based CPU cores within the NVIDIA Graphics Bengaluru team. The role focuses on unit- and core-level verification, testbench development, stimulus generation, and integrating AI-accelerated workflows to improve verification efficiency.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Minimum of 2 years of CPU verification experience is required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing verification for CPU features and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Verify ARM architecture-based CPU cores at unit and core levels.
- Develop and execute unit-level verification plans and testbench components.
- Collaborate with design and architecture teams to verify architectural and microarchitectural features.
- Develop stimulus using external and in-house RIS tools for end-to-end verification.
- Analyze and improve verification strategies and incorporate AI-accelerated workflows to increase efficiency.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- At least 2 years of CPU verification experience.
- Proven experience in ARM architecture and/or CPU microarchitecture verification.
- Strong understanding of verification methodologies and tools.
- Experience with testbench development and stimulus generation (experience with RIS tools preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork.
Nice-to-have:
- Detailed understanding of ARM v9 architecture and cache coherency concepts.
- Exposure to unit-level verification of branch predictor, frontend, or load-store units in high-performance CPU cores.
- Experience applying AI-accelerated workflows in verification.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
