Job Title

CPU Subsystem Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify CPU subsystems and their integration within Arm-based SoC platforms. Work on end-to-end verification solutions, automation, and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-quality silicon.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 2–4 years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary verification responsibilities for CPU subsystems and subsystem-level integration.

  • Develop and execute verification strategies and plans for CPU subsystems and associated IP.
  • Verify processor subsystems: cache hierarchy, coherency, interrupt controllers, debug/trace, memory interfaces, and integration.
  • Validate functional correctness, coherency, performance scenarios, and power-management behaviors.
  • Architect, build, and maintain reusable verification environments, VIP and automation.
  • Drive coverage (functional, code, toggle, assertion) and closure activities.
  • Debug RTL, testbench, integration, and system-level issues; collaborate with design, firmware, emulation, FPGA, and post-silicon teams.
  • Improve verification productivity via scripting, automation, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Own verification deliverables from planning through verification closure, meeting quality and schedule targets.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.

  • 2–4 years of experience in CPU, subsystem, or SoC verification.
  • Strong practical experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog, UVM, and modern verification methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Arm CPU architecture, memory hierarchy, coherency protocols, interrupts, and subsystem integration.
  • Experience with RTL/testbench debugging, coverage closure, and verification IP.
  • Proficiency with C/C++ and scripting for test development and automation.
  • Good analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with CHI, ACE, AMBA, GIC, RAS, or debug/trace.
  • Performance and power-aware verification experience (UPF).
  • Experience with emulation, FPGA, gate-level simulation, or post-silicon validation.
  • Familiarity with Arm System Architecture and AI-assisted verification tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical/computer/related engineering) was requested in the posting.
