Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include microarchitecture definition, RTL development, verification, performance analysis, and cross-functional delivery.
- Lead microarchitecture development from high-level exploration to detailed specification.
- Own RTL feature design, implementation, and refinement to meet PPA and timing goals.
- Develop and support verification testbenches and simulations for functional and performance validation.
- Perform performance exploration, modeling, and correlation between microarchitecture and RTL.
- Collaborate with physical-design, timing, reliability, testability, and power teams to deliver silicon-ready designs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience working on CPUs or complex digital IP.
- Experience with microprocessor architecture and microarchitectural research.
- Strong RTL development experience in Verilog or VHDL.
- Experience with validation: testbench development, simulation, and performance verification.
- Ability to optimize designs for power, performance, area, and timing.
- Experience collaborating with physical-design teams on timing, area, reliability, testability, and power.
Nice-to-have: low-power CPU design experience, performance modeling tools, ASIC physical-design flow knowledge.
Education Requirements
Minimum Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Preferred fields include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. The posting specifies a BS and 10+ years of industry experience.
