CPU Core Design Verification Manager
Role Summary
Lead the Bangalore CPU Core Design Verification (DV) team responsible for verification of high-performance, out-of-order RISC-V CPU cores. Drive technical strategy, verification methodology, and delivery from architecture definition through tapeout readiness while coordinating with design, emulation, and post-silicon teams across multiple sites.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role expects extensive domain experience: typically 15+ years in CPU/design verification with at least 7+ years leading verification teams.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include team leadership, verification strategy, and cross-site execution.
- Build and lead the Bangalore CPU Core DV team: hiring, mentoring, performance management, and team growth.
- Define and own verification strategy and execution for high-performance, out-of-order RISC-V cores, including ISA, microarchitecture, testplans, and coverage goals.
- Establish and maintain UVM/CVM methodology, testbench infrastructure, regression infrastructure, and coverage metrics.
- Coordinate cross-site execution with Santa Clara and Austin DV/design leads to align schedules, coverage, and tapeout readiness.
- Drive closure of critical bugs and coverage gaps across pre-silicon, emulation, and post-silicon flows.
- Remain technically engaged: participate in debug, reviews, and code/testplan contributions.
- Champion and integrate AI-assisted tools for triage, stimulus generation, and coverage analysis.
Requirements

- 15+ years of CPU and design verification (DV) experience, with 7+ years managing verification teams.
- Proven expertise in high-performance, out-of-order CPU verification and microarchitecture-level verification.
- Strong experience with ISA-level verification, RTL understanding, UVM/CVM testbench development, regressions, coverage-driven verification, and complex debug.
- Experience coordinating across distributed sites and working with design, emulation, and post-silicon teams to resolve critical issues.
- Track record of hiring, mentoring, and setting verification strategy and methodology for teams.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted verification workflows for stimulus generation, triage, and coverage analysis.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and execution focus across time zones.
