Role Summary
As a CPU CDC/RDC/STA Engineer you will own Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), Reset Domain Crossing (RDC), and Static Timing Analysis (STA) sign-off methodology for Apple CPU designs across multiple design sites. The role focuses on analyzing designs, driving fixes, and improving CDC/RDC/STA constraints and methodology in collaboration with RTL, verification, CAD, physical design, and EDA vendors.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop, improve, and maintain CDC and RDC sign-off flows for CPU designs.
- Create, enhance, and maintain STA checks and associated sign-offs complementary to CDC/RDC efforts.
- Work with RTL and DV teams to recommend SystemVerilog assertions that support CDC/RDC/STA constraints and assumptions.
- Identify CDC/RDC issues in RTL, recommend structurally safe solutions, and educate designers on best practices.
- Debug vendor EDA tool problems and collaborate with designers and vendor representatives to resolve issues and improve methodologies.
- Coordinate with RTL, Verification, CAD, and Physical Design teams to ensure successful sign-off.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with Clock-Domain Crossing (CDC) and Reset Domain Crossing (RDC) analysis and sign-off.
- Experience with Synopsys or Real Intent tools.
- Scripting experience in TCL or Perl.
- Experience in Verilog.
- Experience debugging EDA tools and working with vendor representatives.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Static Timing Analysis methodologies and STA tools.
- Familiarity with SystemVerilog assertions.
- Experience on CPU or large-scale SoC designs across multiple sites.
Education Requirements
