CPU and SoC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify ARM-based CPU subsystems and SoCs used in NVIDIA's AI hardware stack. Work with architecture and design teams to define and execute verification plans, build and extend UVM/SystemVerilog/C testbenches, and debug RTL-to-system issues.

Focus on improving verification efficiency by integrating AI-accelerated workflows and scalable test environments.

Experience Level

Entry-level (2+ years of relevant CPU/SoC verification experience).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification planning, testbench development, and cross-team debugging:

• Develop and execute verification plans for ARM architecture-based CPU subsystems and SoCs.
• Design, implement, and extend UVM/SystemVerilog and C-based testbench components.
• Collaborate with architecture and design teams to verify architectural and microarchitectural features.
• Debug complex issues across RTL, interconnect, coherency, and system-level scenarios.
• Analyze and improve verification strategies and incorporate AI-accelerated workflows to increase efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• At least 2+ years of CPU verification experience.
• Proven experience with ARM architecture and CPU/unit/sub-system/SoC verification.
• Strong understanding of verification methodologies and tools (UVM/SystemVerilog, simulation/debug flows).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with multi-core CPU or large-scale SoC verification.
• Experience debugging coherency, interconnect, and memory subsystem issues.
• Experience applying AI tools to accelerate verification productivity.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
