Corporate Vice President, TPG Operations & Engineering
Role Summary
Lead TPG Operations & Engineering to ensure operational excellence, manufacturing readiness, and cross‑functional alignment for Micron’s technology and product roadmap. The role oversees global industrial engineering, mask technology, corporate labs, process hazard analysis, and strategic partnerships to enable scalable, cost‑effective semiconductor development and transitions to high‑volume manufacturing.
Experience Level
Senior — 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in semiconductor technology development, manufacturing, or operations.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define and execute TPG operational strategy, translating long‑term technology and capacity plans into integrated, executable plans.
- Drive business planning across TPG including budgeting, goal execution, transition cost management, and operating rigor.
- Oversee fab planning, industrial engineering, and operational readiness for node transitions and product introductions.
- Provide executive oversight of mask technology and advanced enablement to meet supply, quality, cycle time, and cost targets.
- Ensure robust process hazard analysis governance and compliance across global operations.
- Lead Corporate Labs & Materials to deliver analytical capabilities that accelerate technology development and pathfinding.
- Manage external strategic partnerships and consortia to align joint R&D with internal priorities and maximize returns.
- Build and lead high‑performing, inclusive global teams; drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
- Synthesize complex information into executive‑level insights and make clear decisions with appropriate delegation.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and experience:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in semiconductor technology development, manufacturing, or operations.
- Executive experience leading large, global, multidisciplinary organizations.
- Deep knowledge of semiconductor development flows, fab operations, mask technology, and manufacturing readiness.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical strategies into operational execution and measurable results.
- Experience in operational planning, industrial engineering, or advanced R&D infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a complex, matrixed environment and to drive change at scale.
- Strong executive communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and ethical leadership.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working with external research consortia or partnerships (for example, IMEC).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field; advanced degree strongly preferred.
