Senior. The posting references roughly 1β5 years of experience in core areas and degree-based minimums (see Education Requirements); candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and maintain low-level device drivers for SoC peripherals (clocks, regulators, GPIO, interrupts).
- Collaborate with silicon and hardware engineers to define, validate, and improve hardware/software interfaces.
- Debug system and hardware/software integration issues using hardware debug infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain test automation and tooling (Python) to support bring-up and validation.
- Port, optimize, and support software on ARM and DSP processors; support power-management software where required.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Embedded software development and device-driver experience, primarily in C.
- Proficiency in C and experience using Python for tooling/automation.
- Experience working across hardware and software domains and collaborating with hardware designers.
- Experience with ARM-based systems or DSPs.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Lauterbach Trace32 / JTAG debugging tools.
- Familiarity with RISC-V or additional CPU architectures.
- Experience with power-management software and prior work on Qualcomm SoC platforms.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering experience; OR Master's degree in those fields plus 1+ year of software engineering experience; OR PhD in a related field. The posting also specifies 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
