Consumer Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Work on system integration and application-level solutions for low-power consumer audio (hearables and headsets) within the Ultra Low Power Audio team. Support customers through product development from concept to launch, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver evaluation kits, demos, and validation results.

Entry-level (Graduate Job). No explicit years of prior professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to customers and internal teams across the product development lifecycle; develop evaluation hardware/software and demos; and support verification and validation.
- Engage with customers from concept through launch to debug and resolve system-level issues in application and FPGA labs.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, software, field applications, and external partners to deliver system solutions.
- Translate customer requirements into practical application solutions and deliverables (evaluation kits, application notes, demos).
- Support pre-silicon (FPGA) and post-silicon verification and validation testing to confirm compliance with requirements.
- Create customer-facing collateral and compelling demos for visits and trade shows.
- Provide technical communication and hands-on support during customer engagements.
- Travel as required (up to 10%).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience to perform the role; additional skills listed as beneficial.

Must-have: Practical experience with signal processing concepts (FFT, audio algorithms) and familiarity with DSP and ARM cores.
- Experience testing and debugging hardware/software using instruments such as oscilloscopes and function/waveform generators.
- Proficiency in software languages used for system integration and tooling: C and Python (C# a plus).
- Hands-on experience in building evaluation systems, demos, or reference designs; comfortable in both hardware and firmware/software contexts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience interacting directly with customers.
- Ability to support verification/validation activities and to work within cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have: experience with FPGA development, Bluetooth/wireless protocols, ADI SigmaDSP / SigmaStudio, PCB flow, hardware protocols (I2C, SPI) and audio protocols (I2S, PDM, TDM), and exposure to machine learning frameworks and modern software tools (Git, JIRA, Jenkins).
Education Requirements
Have or working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Embedded Firmware/Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
