Connectivity Systems Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Develop, execute and maintain Bluetooth and/or Wi‑Fi validation tests and automation for hardware and software products. Collaborate with architecture, design and validation teams to improve post‑silicon automation test infrastructure, debug features, and ensure interoperability and performance of connectivity solutions.
This role requires on‑site presence in Bangalore and works across hardware, firmware and software domains.
Experience Level
Entry-level — 1+ years of related work experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Create, define, and enhance system validation environments and test suites for Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth.
- Execute functionality, performance and stress tests on routers, access points, Bluetooth and client devices.
- Identify, reproduce and report software and hardware issues; produce detailed bug reports and documentation.
- Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and automated test scripts to improve test efficiency.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware and software teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Analyze and interpret test results and provide actionable feedback for debug and product improvements.
- Stay current with Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi standards and incorporate them into validation processes.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Working knowledge of Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth profile/stack/firmware validation.
- Experience with test automation and scripting (Python).
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows and macOS environments.
- Hands-on experience with network protocol analyzers (e.g., Ellisys, Wireshark).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Exposure to WLAN coexistence, OEM or IOP testing with Bluetooth.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with pre- and post-silicon validation and automation test infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Gen AI agents and integration with validation tasks.
- Experience testing routers, access points, or client device firmware.
Education Requirements
Engineering degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (e.g., BE/B.Tech/BS) from a recognized college. The posting expects approximately 1+ years of related work experience.
