Job Title
Connectivity Systems Engineer
Role Summary
Join the wireless silicon development team responsible for pre-silicon verification and emulation of energy-efficient wireless SoCs. The role owns the emulation environment and related infrastructure that brings emulated SoCs into an operational state to enable design verification ahead of tape-out.
Work spans digital design, firmware, validation, and cross-functional collaboration with RF/analog, PHY/MAC, VLSI/RTL, verification, and software teams.
Experience Level
Senior β 10+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on building and operating the pre-silicon emulation and lab bring-up infrastructure for wireless SoCs.
- Lead bring-up of each emulation build and maintain the emulation lab (Palladium or equivalent).
- Design and own framework and infrastructure: register maps, initialization and boot sequences, clock/reset, and system-level configuration.
- Develop test-bench, simulation, and verification infrastructure to enable broader team testing.
- Support pre-silicon verification efforts to de-risk silicon ahead of tape-out.
- Collaborate across engineering functions to reproduce, debug, and resolve system-level issues.
- Contribute to lab bring-up and validation for Bluetooth and UWB silicon.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience to perform the role.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in digital design, verification, or emulation.
- Hands-on RTL experience (Verilog and/or VHDL) and strong digital design fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of SoC architecture, register maps, and hardware/software interaction at the system level.
- Experience with emulation platforms and pre-silicon bring-up (Palladium or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of wireless systems, including MAC and/or PHY layer concepts.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ for modeling, simulation, and verification infrastructure.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and proven cross-functional collaboration.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
