Coherent DSP Architecture Intern
Role Summary
Join the Architecture Coherent DSP team working on the design, simulation, implementation, and validation of DSP ASICs for coherent optical communications used in data center interconnect, long-haul, and metro applications. The role focuses on developing and evaluating signal-processing algorithms and models for CMOS implementation and supporting verification and documentation.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for advanced students (undergraduate or graduate). No minimum years of professional experience specified.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include algorithm development, system modeling, verification, and documentation.
- Create and evaluate signal-processing solutions suitable for CMOS implementation.
- Model coherent optical systems at multiple levels in MATLAB, C++, and Python.
- Define, implement and execute functional verification and validation of designs.
- Write technical documentation and present results to the team.

- Strong theoretical background in signals and systems, electronic circuit analysis, physics, and mathematics.
- Practical experience with MATLAB and/or Python.
- Ability to research and interpret technical papers in the field.

- Preferred: Good English proficiency and communication skills.
Education Requirements
Advanced student (current undergraduate or graduate) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
