Cloud Software Developer Engineer

Role Summary

As a Cloud Software Developer Engineer in Intel's Data Center Group, you will design, develop, and optimize full‑stack software to enable Intel hardware features for cloud, hybrid cloud, and on‑premises deployments. You will collaborate with partners and customers to deliver reference cloud platform software, improve customer designs, and support integration and validation efforts across firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs and applications.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include:

• Design, develop, validate, and debug software solutions that enable Intel hardware features across the stack.
• Optimize firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications for cloud deployment models.
• Collaborate with partners to understand and integrate their software stacks; deliver optimized reference solutions.
• Develop reference cloud platform software and advise on customer design improvements to maximize product value.
• Perform bug and issue analysis, provide timely customer support and technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure disciplined execution across development projects.
• Participate in DevOps and lab infrastructure activities to support CI/CD, validation, and testing.
• Contribute to group problem-solving sessions and technical design discussions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and constraints:

• Proficiency in Python and NodeJS.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and cloud engineering concepts.
• Experience with software validation, debugging, and disciplined development execution.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and lab infrastructure management.
• Advanced English language ability.
• Unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).
• Preferred: understanding of AI/ML algorithms and frameworks, experience with open-source development, and REST API development.

Education Requirements

Minimum listed qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Screening guidance specifies either a Bachelor's plus 6 years of software development experience, or a Master's plus 4 years of software development experience.
