Job Title
Circuit Design Engineering Intern
Role Summary
The intern will contribute to analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and analysis within a silicon and platform engineering team. This role is an undergraduate internship focused on hands-on circuit development, verification, automation and documentation.
Duration: six months, full-time with hybrid work model and schedule flexibility coordinated with the manager.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Undergraduate internship). Intended for students building foundations in circuit design and programming.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing, validating, and documenting analog/mixed-signal circuits and automating related workflows.
- Contribute to analog circuit schematic development and performance evaluation.
- Perform circuit-level simulations across operating conditions and process corners; analyze gain, bandwidth, noise, linearity, stability, and power.
- Support definition and documentation of circuit-level requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate simulations, data analysis, and workflows; apply modular design, version control, and clear documentation.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to increase productivity for tasks such as simulation setup, data parsing, debugging, and documentation.
- Prepare concise technical documentation and reports summarizing methods, results, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineers to support robust circuit implementation and integration.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills to be considered initially.
Must-have:
- Basic experience with circuit design (schematic capture and fundamental analysis through lab work or projects).
- Familiarity with CMOS analog fundamentals (amplifiers, biasing, feedback, stability).
- Foundational knowledge of signals and systems or related topics.
- Experience with programming or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar).
- Exposure to analog circuit simulation tools (SPICE-based simulators) through coursework or projects.
- Willingness to use AI-based tools to enhance engineering workflows.
- Intermediate English language proficiency.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso / Spectre or equivalent.
- Strong undergraduate coursework or projects in analog or mixed-signal circuit design.
- Demonstrated use of AI and automation in engineering workflows.
- Advanced English language proficiency.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (undergraduate level). The posting targets undergraduate students; no alternative equivalent-experience language was provided.
