Job Title

Circuit Design Engineer, Power Modeling and Simulation - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Join the Circuits Solutions Group to model and simulate power delivery and power-management solutions for advanced processor designs. Work on PDNs from die to platform level and perform block-level and system-level simulations to ensure reliability and performance.

This is an early-career engineering role focused on circuit modeling, simulation, and collaboration with a global circuits team.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate (early-career). No specific years of prior industry experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include modeling, simulation, and validation of power delivery and circuits across abstraction levels.

  • Model and simulate analog and digital circuits and systems across multiple abstraction levels.
  • Model and simulate power delivery networks (PDN) from die to platform level.
  • Perform detailed block-level and system-level simulations to validate reliability, performance, and stability.
  • Collaborate with a global circuits team on processor and power-management design.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools:

  • Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools such as ANSYS or Sigrity.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools: Matlab/Simulink, Simplis, Spice, Verilog-AMS, mixed-signal RTL+Spice, and s-parameters.
  • Familiarity with industry EDA and design tools: Cadence Virtuoso, Allegro.
  • Experience with circuit simulators: HSpice, Spectre, PrimeSim, XA, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of power delivery network concepts and associated analysis.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience modeling and simulating complex PDNs for CPU/GPU platforms.
  • Hands-on experience simulating digital and analog circuits and control loops.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation (Perl, Tcl, Python, Skill) and automation methods/algorithms.

Education Requirements

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
