Circuit Design Engineer - Hardware
Role Summary
Engineer on the hardware circuit-design team responsible for architecting and implementing custom digital circuitry, with a primary focus on SRAM compilers for NVIDIA products.
The role delivers high-performance, low-power, compact SRAM macros, supports transistor-level verification, contributes to CAD flow development, and collaborates with layout and verification teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level (minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience).
Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities include design, verification, and support of SRAM and custom circuit blocks for graphics processors.
- Design high-performance, low-power, small-area SRAM macros for graphics processors.
- Architect, simulate, and characterize custom circuit designs at transistor and schematic level.
- Perform transistor-level functional verification.
- Integrate and apply AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and quality.
- Participate in building and improving CAD flows for circuit design.
- Support layout floorplanning and supervise implementation as needed.
Requirements
Required technical skills and professional behaviors.
- Strong background in deep-submicron CMOS processes and device physics.
- Practical knowledge of high-speed digital circuit design techniques.
- Experience with circuit simulation, schematic capture, and layout verification CAD tools.
- Proven ability to use AI-enabled applications to improve engineering productivity.
- Effective written and verbal communication; able to work in a team and independently.
- Fast learner with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks to completion.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent required (minimum 2 years of experience). Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred. Equivalent practical experience acceptable.
