Job Title

Circuit Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work on custom circuit IPs (SRAM, analog, digital sensor circuits and test structures) to improve power, performance, silicon correlation and security for NVIDIA CPU, GPU and networking chips. The role is on a multi-functional Circuit and Digital IP team and requires collaboration with global engineering teams.

Primary focus: architect and validate circuit solutions and methodologies that measure on‑chip silicon performance and reduce gaps between pre‑silicon estimates and silicon behavior.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires approximately 2+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing, validating and improving custom circuit IP and related flows. The role includes technical leadership and cross‑functional coordination.

  • Design and validate custom circuits (SRAM, analog, sensor circuits) using transistor‑level tools and SPICE simulations.
  • Develop and run flows for silicon correlation and to meet design specifications (EM, IR, noise, STA).
  • Architect methodologies and measurement strategies to monitor on‑chip performance and close gaps to pre‑silicon estimates for logic and RAMs.
  • Analyze process variation, aging, and noise effects; perform statistical analysis for robustness.
  • Collaborate with global teams across geographies to align methodologies and improve silicon debug and correlation.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience expected for the role.

Must-have:

  • Strong fundamentals in CMOS devices, RC circuits and transistor‑level circuit design.
  • Experience with transistor‑level simulations (SPICE) and statistical/process variation analysis.
  • Knowledge of timing concepts for dynamic and sequential circuits and ability to use STA.
  • Experience developing and running verification/analysis flows (EM, IR, noise, static timing).
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in a team.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with physical design and silicon debug techniques.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Python) and experience handling large datasets; familiarity with AI/ML tools for data analysis is an advantage.

Education Requirements

BE/B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical & Electronics (or similar electrical/EE fields), or equivalent practical experience.
