Chip Engineering Operations Program Manager

Role Summary

Manage silicon bring-up schedules and wafer/board forecasting for engineering teams, from prototype delivery through production release. Work across product engineering, manufacturing, and validation teams to track milestones, allocate chip/board inventory, and mitigate program risks.

Mid-level (5+ years relevant experience)

Responsibilities

Own schedule and resource planning for silicon bring-up and new product introduction; coordinate deliverables across engineering and business teams.

  • Manage silicon bring-up schedule from power-on to production release.
  • Negotiate silicon and board demand and produce bottom-up wafer/board forecasts.
  • Oversee chip and board allocations across teams and products.
  • Lead prototype chip delivery to internal customers and track prototype demand.
  • Track engineering deliverables, milestones, qualification, and validation tasks during NPI.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate schedule and program risks.
  • Evaluate and improve internal tools and cross-team processes; drive fixes and tool implementations for data analytics and process evaluation.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills for executing program management in a semiconductor/ASIC environment.

  • 5+ years in Semiconductor Program Management, ASIC Product Engineering, or ASIC design.
  • Deep understanding of ASIC technology and productization requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to coordinate with multiple technical and business teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently, follow complex procedures, and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Proficient with MS Project and Excel.
  • Experience creating and managing forecasts, allocations, and prototype deliveries.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
