Chip Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's Chip Design Silicon Engineering team to design and verify high-speed communication chips with a focus on maximum throughput and low latency. The role works across design, micro-architecture, firmware and production teams to implement and validate block-level functionality under performance constraints.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires around 2+ years of verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute verification for chip blocks/entities according to specifications and performance constraints.
- Develop verification environments, testbenches, and validation suites to achieve functional and performance goals.
- Collaborate with design, micro-architecture, firmware and production teams to resolve issues and align on requirements.
- Perform debug of failures, root-cause analysis, and drive fixes through to closure.
- Work on cutting-edge PCI Express development (including next-generation PCIe work such as Gen7).
- Contribute to verification methodology, automation and coverage improvement.

Nice-to-have: Knowledge of the PCI Express standard.

Nice-to-have: Experience with Specman or UVM-based verification flows.

Nice-to-have: Validated experience in RTL frontend ASIC design or verification.

Nice-to-have: Background in RTL microarchitecture and RTL coding.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
