Chip Design & Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Networking Switch Silicon team to design and verify switch silicon core units. You will work in a combined design and verification team to implement RTL, create verification environments, and support silicon bring-up.

The role focuses on developing high-throughput, low-latency switch silicon by delivering RTL blocks, verification models, and synthesis/timing support.

Responsibilities

Key duties include RTL design and verification, simulation, and collaboration across engineering groups.

  • Design and verify RTL units/blocks according to architecture specifications with attention to power, area, and performance.
  • Develop micro-architecture and plan RTL and simulation environments for modules.
  • Build reference models, run simulations, and verify chip block functionality against specifications.
  • Perform RTL synthesis, timing analysis, and support verification and post-silicon activities.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, full-chip micro-architecture, backend, and firmware teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

  • Experience in RTL design and/or dynamic verification.
  • Completion of programming and logic design coursework or equivalent practical knowledge.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
